The Imperial Fund Asset Management team is pleased to participate in the iConnections' Global Alts Miami conference each year,
as it remains an important forum for engaging with the global investor community in the alternative investments space.
The event consistently provides valuable opportunities to reconnect with existing partners and meet new investors.
Here were the key takeaways from #GlobalAltsMiami 2026:
AI Race - During a panel featuring Rick Rieder and Ulrike Hoffman-Burchardi, the discussion focused on the competition for market share in the artificial intelligence space.
Both panelists acknowledged the possibility that leading technology companies may continue to compete, or that the sector could ultimately become a “winner-takes-all” industry.
Emerging Opportunities - In a one-on-one discussion, Todd Boehly spoke about the wide range of investments he is pursuing across infrastructure, natural resources, entertainment, and sports.
Mr. Boehly repeatedly referenced the broader macroeconomic context, highlighting the importance of considering global developments when making investment decisions.
Private credit was also a meaningful area of discussion throughout the conference.
Allocators and managers addressed continued institutional demand for private lending strategies, the role of credit in portfolio construction amid higher-for-longer rate expectations,
and the importance of disciplined underwriting in a more selective capital environment.
It was a pleasure to attend the event, and we look forward to participating again in the future.
